Attentions for Using a Solar Street Light with Sensor

1. Recognize the solar street light with sensor

The solar street light with sensor is becoming more and more popular, because solar powered street lights require abundant solar resources, and solar powered street lights rely on the energy capture of solar panels and the energy storage of batteries. The purpose of the solar street light with sensor is to run the solar lights brighter when needed, and at a lower level (or turn off when not needed) to minimize the demand for solar panels and batteries.

The lighting of solar powered street lights is for people who use trails and bicycle lanes at night. When people go outdoors at night, for safety reasons, adequate lighting is very important, which makes people who travel at night safe and avoid danger. However, some aspects need to be paid attention to when using solar street lights with sensors.

2. Matters needing attention when using the solar street light with sensor

The light level of the solar street light with sensor must be based on the lowest light level emitted throughout the night. Most solar street lights with sensors have a sensor range of 8 meters (the maximum distance from where the sensor is located, it will detect pedestrians), but the necessary distance between light poles that meet these lighting standards is usually twice the distance. This will cause a situation where pedestrians or cyclists moving along the path may only activate a solar street light with sensor, so only the lights behind the user are fully on, and the lights in front of the user are in power saving mode. Note that this applies to independent sensors on each light pole, and some mesh systems can use sensors located at both ends of the path to illuminate all lights in the path. Usually the best solution is to run the lights with constant lighting throughout the night. If the solar street light with sensor is connected with the path, fence, wall or similar boundary structure, or when the area is sensitive to light ecology, special allocation is required.
